One of our directors, David Bridger, is to be a judge for the new Home Office of the Week feature on Enterprise Nation

Enterprise Nation is one of the UK’s leading community websites for home businesses – a free resource to help people start and grow their business at home.  The website covers a wide range of topics helpful to this community, such as business, lifestyle and technology.

The idea behind Home Office of the Week is to get people talking about – and showing - the way they have set up their home office.  This is such a great concept because they may be demonstrating a great environment they have designed, or about the challenges that they face.

We would be delighted to have our customers submit their Home Office to this feature. So if you are interested then simply go to the Enteprise Nation website at www.enterprisenation.com .

Home office owners can upload photos of their office onto the site and a new one will be chosen each week and profiled as inspiration to others.  Commenting on the findings, enterprisenation.com founder and editor, Emma Jones said, “In a relatively short space of time, the home office has gone from being a luxury to a necessity.  With more and more people running businesses from home and spending considerable time in their offices, it’s understandable how it can quickly become one of the best rooms in the house.”

The home office desk is included in the consumer price index, having been added in 2006 and David Bridger of Flujo Homes, a company that sells furniture and accessories for the home office, says that desks and good storage are his most popular selling items.  “The desk is the focal piece of furniture for the office and as you have to live with it for a long time it’s worth buying one you really like.  Aside from furniture, other popular items include new technology; at the moment everyone is buying Skype phones, good printers and decent lighting.”

Other judges will include two experts in the world of the home office: Rachael Ross of PurelyPeppermint.com and Alex Johnson of Shedworking.com. For more details about homeworking and this feature we suggest that you go to www.enterprisenation.com .
