THONET, 1930/31

 

When tubular steel first appeared on the scene in the furniture sector in the 1920s, architect Marcel Breuer created the famous table set B 9 using this new material.  Different chair models were developed later.The Thonet catalog from 1930/31 already included a large range of side furniture, designed by Breuer and other architects - and also by Thonet. The series includes: The elegant console table B 108 lends itself to varying environments such as offices and reception areas to living and dining areas. The wooden body offers shelf space for articles.
