  • The bad smell

It’s normally expired foodstuffs that may cause a foul smell in a refrigerator. All you have to do is getting everything out and disposing of the expired or spoilt food. Clean the entire fridge using baking soda and clean water. Then sort everything before putting them back.

  • Noise

Refrigerators tend to become noisy when they get old, but if it’s new and making noise, then there is a problem. Check the fan at the back of your refrigerator. Firstly, switch off and unplug the fridge, remove the back panel and take a look at the fan. It could be the wires got chewed or cut. Ensure that the refrigerator is at least two inches from the wall.

  • Water Leaking

There are different issues that can bring about this problem, and they include a blocked defrost drain or clogged water supply. These can cause water to leak to the kitchen floor, which is risky for the users. To fix this, try to drain the hole from the inside using warm water and clear it from debris. If you can’t solve the problem, it’s best to call in a service provider for a thorough assessment and repair.

  • Freezer or Food Compartments Warming Up

It could be that your diffuser duct is blocked or clogged with ice, which affects the air that crosses the freezer to your fresh food compartments. Another reason may be that you leave the fridge door open for multiple times.

  • Ice Dispenser Clogged with Frost

For ice to fall from the dispenser, the damper door must be able to open and close. When this door is damaged or the material that seals it gets dirty, it might fail to seal properly, causing the air to enter the freezer compartment.

A fridge is one of the most important kitchen appliances that works 24/7 to keep food fresh and consumable. However, sometimes it runs into several problems that you as an individual may work on or require a technician to fix.
