It can really be frustrating when your garage door opener is not working. Plus, you might not be able to tell right away what’s causing the malfunction. That is why you need to call a garage door repair professional to do the job for you. Below are some of the most common garage door problems you may encounter and need to address immediately:

When you press the remote control button of your premium garage doors and it does not work, check the batteries first. But, the batteries are not the problem, try t press the button within range of the opener. But, if this still does not resolve the problem, program the remote by following the instructions in the opener’s manual. If this still fails, call your technician.

This problem begins when you hit the button to close the garage door and the door begins to close; however, not all the way. Some things can be happening to cause this problem.

Check the safety sensors to ensure there is no block between them. These sensors are the electronic eyes near the door track’s base on both sides. It is important to ensure they have a clear line-of-sight between them so the door works properly. You apply these procedures when the door does not seem to open all the way.

Unresponsive Wall Switch

When your wall switch is dead, don’t think it is the end of the road for your door opener. The wall switch is wired directly into the opener so there is no need to troubleshoot signal problems. In case your switch is broken, the problem might be is with the switch or the wiring. The majority of switches have a couple of wires. Test the wires by detaching both from the switch and carefully touching them together. The switch might be the problem if your opener responds. Otherwise, you need to replace the wires. But, if you are not an expert in this kind of job, contact a garage door professional immediately.
