Cork flooring- Why better than others?

Cork flooring is popular in flooring especially in houses of nature loving and environmentalists. Not only, being “green and renewable” but cork also provides a pleasant and comfortable walking. Therefore, cork has widely used the material in children’s play area and commercial spaces. Cork is produced in the barks of cork oak tree (Quercus suber) and contains a natural substance called “ Suberin”. Suberin is a mold inhibitor which prevents rotting. Cork is a highly durable material with insulation properties. It reduces heating cost and can resist fire. On combusting, there is no release any toxic chemicals making cork very environment-friendly.  It acts as a great insulator also reducing the heating cost. Cork is available as heated floors by heavenly heat making it the trendiest material in the houses of many.

Renewable and replenishable: Cork is derived from the bark of cork oak tree. Therefore, it is completely natural, biodegradable and replenishable. Cork can be harvested without harming the cork oak tree and will break down without causing any harm to the environment. 

Easy installation: Cork tiles are easy to install. They have a self-adhesive material which makes it peel and stick material. There is no need for mortar adhesive with cork. 

Easy maintenance: Cork comes with multiple layers of quality water barrier sealer which is very easy to maintain. Therefore, cork requires sweeping or vacuuming only which can be wiped off easily. 

Cork is easily available in heated floors by heavenly heat. This helps in reducing your heating and cooling bills making it pocket-friendly and affordable to all along with a bouquet of other benefits, it offers.
